On Distant Shores (2011) – excerpt -
Shimmering, On Distant Shores evokes ancient myths while feeling thoroughly contemporary “I had always thought that Helen got a bad rap,” says Rioult as he set out to redeem Helen of Troy’s reputation.
What transpires? Rioult imagines that Helen’s is brought to Troy against her will. Four god-like young warriors awaken to partner Helen in fleeting duets, in the end, she continues to walk in a path of light as the heroes fade into a dream.
